The Spectrum was published by the Brandon College Students' Association in 1944. Its purpose was "to provide an outlet for creating writing...that will appeal to both the Arts and the Science student." While intended to be published as a quarterly publication, it appears that only two issues were released. Volume 1, issue 1 consists of creative writing pieces and volume 1, issue 2 consists of creative writing pieces, as well as class photos and names for the Classes of 1944, 1945, 1946 and 1947. It is assumed that volume 1, issue 2 took the place of the Sickle, Brandon College's yearbook, as the latter publication was not produced in 1944.
